A Moleben usually has a canon in it, or at least the refrains of a canon. the canon is chanted straight through until the sixth ode is finished, then a small ectenia is intones. After this, the akathist is sung in it's entirety.

A moleben is a general prayer service, prayed on many occasions, by itself, or often, after another service, expecially Divine Liturgy. It's structure is similar to a shrtened matins.
